Buying Broadband
I posted in the wirelessISP forum and they suggested I post here. This title of this thread pretty much sums up what I'm trying to do, so thought I'd chime in. Seems like fiber maps are obscured and concealed for some reason. I don't know much about it, so I have no idea why...
For someone like myself, who is seeking a location based on access to fiber, it's somewhat of a hurdle.
Here's the deal. I have customers who, in addition to the management of their network, wish for me to provide them internet. Some include hotels and campgrounds that want to charge tennants for access. In other words, I am reselling broadband that will, in turn, be resold. I don't want contracts that explicitly state I can't resell.
I fully intend to deliver this service to my customers via microwave backhaul. Level3 has said they won't sell to towers. Would love to know why that is?

Pricing information
Hello all,
Super new here so please bare with me if this is posted in the wrong forum.
I'm trying to figure out if becoming an ISP for my town is worth it.
They have a Bell POP here which means I would like to try and sell their connections where possible.
My main quandary is pricing.
In my mind I'm assuming there is a monthly cost for a pipe say 1GB or 10GB to Bell's network. I would manage that and segment out speed for clients.
I also assume there is a cost for bandwidth that flows through that pipe.
Is there also a monthly fee for using their physical cables that run into the households?
Is anyone able to give me a rough idea on what costs may be so I can see if my time and my savings are worth it?

I've looked for this but cant seem to find it. I need a place/company that sells bandwidth in or near Danville Va. so we can start an ISP business.
Currently we have 65 people interested in joining our service and that number grows as we privately inquire.
Does anyone know what the process is or who I can contact to contract for the bandwidth?
I'm not asking about local established ISPs. I have no need for that information/
I need places that sell the actual BANDWIDTH.
